Q) Why buy from Discontinued Designs ?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          A) We have been offering a matching service for 20 years now and have vast experience & knowledge having been involved within the Crystal industry for over 30 years. We are also keeping some of the old skills & traditions alive by offering exclusive patterns and keeping some of the old craftsmen in the trade which unfortunately is almost non-existence now due to the closure of the major factories.

Q) Do you ship worldwide ?
A) We ship worldwide using Royal Mail, Parcel Force or UPS.

Q) What are the shipping rates ?
A) Shipping rates can be found on the ordering page. The rates are dependant on the number of items.

Q) Will my order be covered against breakage ?
A) All orders sent are insured against damage or loss.

Q) What if I receive damaged or broken items ?
A) Please contact us within three days of receiving your order to report any damages / breakages. Please retain all packaging and where applicable, glasses have their labels.

Q) I live outside of the UK, will the Vat be deducted ?
A) Vat will deducted should an order be sent outside of the UK.

Q) What if I am unable to find my design on the web site ? Can you identify my pattern ?
A) A photo may be emailed or posted to us for possible identification. You may also send a sample even if it is damaged. However we now charge for this as we receive a lot of requests for onward selling. The charge is £5 + vat per item. This amount will then be refunded if an order is placed with Discontinued Designs Limited.

Q) What if I am unhappy with my order ?
A) We will endeavour to resolve any concerns you have with your order.

Q) Am I able to return special order items ?
A) In most cases special order items are specially made and so cannot be returned. It is important to discuss with us all special order items before placing an order.

Q) What if I order the wrong item ?
A) If an item is incorrectly ordered (not special order) it may be returned for an exchange or refund. The return of any incorrectly ordered items remain the responsibility of the customer.
Please ensure you have checked measurements when ordering glasses as the postage will not be refunded for incorrectly ordered items.

Q) Can I collect rather than post ?
A) Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer a collection service.

Q) Do you buy crystal from the public ?
A) We have recently started selling “pre-owned” crystal and therefore may be interested in your crystal. Please contact us to discuss your pattern.

Q) Do you offer a valuation service ?
A) We are unable to offer valuations.

Q) Can you provide details for insurance claims ?
A) We can provide details for insurance claims however we do charge for this and the amount is £25 or 25% (+ vat) of the total claim (whichever is the greater). This amount will then be refunded once the claim is processed through Discontinued Designs Limited.

Q) My glasses have gone cloudy after being in the dishwasher, what can I do ?
A) Unfortunately once the glasses have gone cloudy there is very little that can be done.

Q) What if an item required is out of stock ?
A) We have a database system for anything out of stock. Once the item required is available we will contact you. Please contact Discontinued Designs for anything required not in stock – database enquiries have priority when stock is available.
